WineHive

logoI am constantly finding myself searching the internet for new and unique items. One day I came across the WineHive and I knew I wanted to try it. I also knew that it would make a great addition to my Valentine’s Day gift guide. Wine by itself is already romantic, add some honey and you have a romantic gift to give.

The WineHive was designed by John Paulick, an award-winning industrial designer in Philadelphia. John is a certified Biomimicry Specialist, and Biomimicry is an innovation inspired by nature. While John was watching a documentary on bees his background in Biomimicry kicked in and he became inspired and wanted to create a larger honeycomb structure as a tribute to bees and their ability to engineer little structures with such precision. After a lot of hard work John created the WineHive. Check out more information about John and how he designed the WineHive here. Included in that link is also some pretty neat videos that demonstrate how strong the WineHive is.

Here are some pictures of me opening the WineHive, putting it together, and after it was put together.

I will be storing my wine in my WineHive from now on. It makes a great accent piece and I have gotten a couple of compliments on it already. It comes in silver and black and you can also get one that holds up to 36 bottles of wine. Or you can custom build your own by emailing John at john@winehive.com. Here is an article posted by John where he built “The Great Wall of WineHive.”

  3. Thank you very much for this opportunity to win this WineHive, I love it! I just moved into my own apartment and I would LOVE to have that and get it all filled…

  4. These are so unique. I love the industrial look. It would look amazing in my industrial / reclaimed wood dream kitchen (or the hasn’t been changed since the 50′s kitchen I have now)

  5. I love how modern this is…and would love to replace my awful counter top rack ( I have a bigger rack that is much more stylish, but full!) that looks like green wrought iron grape vines…ugh!

  6. This is such a modern and clever way of storing wine! I love that you don’t have to have a wine cellar or refrigerator to keep fine wines on hand. Its a conversation piece and work of art that displays those bottles of vino to perfection! I adore it!
